Welcome to the “Sum of Thy Word” where truth is sought in a multitude of witnesses. The Bible is written like no other book on the face of the earth. The Word was conceived in the mind of the Most High God and brought forth before all of creation and then used to manifest eternal sons in a temporal world:
2 Corinthians 4:16-18 Wherefore we faint not; but though our outward man is decaying, yet our inward man is renewed day by day. (17) For our light affliction, which is for the moment, worketh for us more and more exceedingly an eternal weight of glory; (18) while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
Father’s Word was then given to 40+ witnesses over a 2,500-year span to show forth His power to raise up holy sons through His first-born in the midst of an increasingly wicked world.
The “Word of God” was never intended to be just another book for the casual believer to be read when time allowed but rather He is the very essence of eternal life woven spiritually throughout those 66 books to be searched with our whole heart in the Spirit not the letter:
Romans 2:28-29 For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision which is outward in the flesh: (29) but he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.
Romans 7:6 But now we have been discharged from the law, having died to that wherein we were held; so that we serve in newness of the spirit, and not in oldness of the letter.
2 Corinthians 3:4-6 And such confidence have we through Christ to God-ward: (5) not that we are sufficient of ourselves, to account anything as from ourselves; but our sufficiency is from God; (6) who also made us sufficient as ministers of a new covenant; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.
Proverbs 25:2 It is the glory of God to conceal a thing; But the glory of kings is to search out a matter.
Isaiah 28:9-11 Whom will he teach knowledge? and whom will he make to understand the message? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts? (10) For it is precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, there a little. (11) Nay, but by men of strange lips and with another tongue will he speak to this people;
Matthew 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
The challenge of this web site is to encourage every believer to be noble in their quest for truth:
Acts 17:11 Now these were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of the mind, examining the Scriptures daily, whether these things were so.
